What can I do with fried onion paste? I bought it at the vietnamese market and it looks good but I have no idea how to use it. Suggestions?

So, I realize that a) this community might well be dead and b) I imagine the majority of members are probably either vegan or vegetarian, but I'm posting anyway on the off chance that someone responds. A few weeks ago my housemates and I went to the lake and had a bonfire there with a dozen or so friends, purchasing a package of 80 hot dogs in anticipation of this event. Well many hot dogs were roasted, a merry time was had by all, and this leaves us now with around 40 frozen hot dogs left. We have been grilling a lot and also have had them with macaroni and cheese a few times, and I have ambitions to make cook them up with baked beans and brown raisin bread. Is there anything else we can do with this most unglamorous of ingredients? There are five of us in the house, and one is lactose intolerant, so extra special bonus points to dairy-free suggestions. Not sure if anyone still reads this community, but I thought it was worth a shot. Thanks in advance guys!

anyone have an easy vegetarian recipe for posole? i've never cooked with it before and i by a series of unusual circumstances ended up with about 2 or 3 cups of it in my cabinet.
i have fresh fennel that looks like a big onion with little green hairs sticking out of it.
give me some ideas before it goes bad!

So my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to bring home a foot long+ piece of sugarcane from the asian market. He just chops a piece off, chews it and then spits out the bark parts...what the heck else can we do with this thing?

I have a bunch of dried Green Lentils, what can I make with them? I've never really cooked with them before, so how do I cook them?
(something vegan and yummy)

my partner dumpstered about a gallon's worth of crawfish tail meat. he's planning on making some gumbo with it, but that won't use all of it by any means. the extra-fun catch is that we don't eat any purchased animal products, so an otherwise vegan (or veganizable) recipe/idea is what we need. do you guys have any ideas for what the hell to do with way too much crawfish?

What to do...
With loads of yellow and green "italian" squash. I've been roasting it, stir-frying it and making soup. Anyone have any more ideas? A stuffed squash recipie maybe? Squash bread? Maybe something that can be frozen?

bananas and bananas and more bananas
approximately 5 large bunches of them (50ish bananas in total?) they're on their last legs. my banana bread recipe only calls for 2-3 bananas/loaf. any other suggestions for good, quick banana-killers?
also, i really like lemon juice. i really really like lemon juice. do any of you guys have favorite spice combinations that involve lemon juice?

And another thing.
One more quick question. I've just discovered that I have 3 full containers of sour cream in my fridge, all of which are very close to their expiry date - Anyone know of any good, quick recipes that use sour cream?

This is great! I've been pondering starting a community with this exact concept for a while now, but was hesitant, as I didn't know how popular it would be. But after bringing up the topic on another cooking community that I'm a member of (fursthatcook
), they recommended this, which is exactly the kind of thing I was after. So now I don't have to go to all the trouble of starting a community. Woo. :)
Anyway, I'll get straight to the point. I've been wondering what I could do with a 200 gram bag of Azuki Beans that I've had sitting in my cupboard for ages. As far as I can tell, they're really only used for making sweet bean paste, which is all well and good, but I still can't think of anything exciting I could do with it.
Who's got some ideas?

I have guest coming over tonight and I don’t have anything to serve in the way of finger foods! I'm pretty broke but last week I went to Cosco and got a few key things in bulk.
Here's my list:
I have a wide assortment of dried spices as well.

Two large heads of bib lettuce and a bag of spring greens. I'm so tired of salad.....
I get this almost every week with my share in my CSA.
How can I use it before it goes bad? There are only two of us...

For your consideration ....
For your consideration, I present the 50 lb bag of dried soybeans that I just lugged home. $9.90 - I'm sure its a great deal!
I've a vague thought of soy milk. But, geez - this is like a big dogfood bag of soybeans!

Any ideas for a basket full of oranges? I think they're probably Valencias. (Also, the peels are a little dirty, so does anybody have any good tips on getting them reasonably clean?)
I'm vegan, but I can probably modify most recipes so they'll work for me.
